700m of deer fencing is up!
it’s time tae release the oaklings, rowanlings, hazelings fae captivity
~
nine years we’ve been tending this land without deer fencing. last year we took the leap and invested in fencing for part of the land. seems like there’s a collective sigh of relief from the staked, plastic enfolded regen saplings we’ve been protecting. time for them to sing!
the photo is looking down the hill at a patch of knee to head high birch regen with oak, rowan, hazel sapplings planted by the local jay’s and squirels!
