Spent the morning up here in this burgeoning biodiversity protecting this years oak, hazel and rowan regen – 150 and counting!
There’s a bit more of a deer presence on the croft right now, perhaps due to the neighbouring forest being felled and these beauties will def be munched. I didnt have the heart to put a plastic guard on this little oak, but from the next photo you can see what happens if they don’t.
Lots to ponder around resilience and well being sitting next to a well chewed but still shining oak that must have been 8 years old but barely came past my ankle!
